Visit of His Holiness Karma Kuchen Rinpoche
His Holiness Karma Kuchen Rinpoche, the twelfth throne holder of the Palyul Lineage, will be visiting Orgyan Osal Cho Dzong from August 18th to 20th. His Holiness will be accompanied by Khenpo Tenzin Norgay and monks from Palyul Namdroling Monastery.
During this time, he will be giving the wang (empowerment) of Ratna Lingpa's Vajrakila, the Lung (textual transmission) for the sadhana and blessing the temple.
Parinirvana of His Holiness Penor Rinpoche
The 11th Throneholder of the Palyul Lineage of the Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism, His Holiness Penor Rinpoche, entered the final stage of meditation at 8:20 PM on Friday, March 27, 2009, at the Palyul Namdroling Monastery in Bylakuppe, South India. He left his meditation on April 3 and his holy body (kudung) was brought in procession to Zangdokpalri Temple on April 9. The 49th Day is May 22nd.
